Fall 2009 Update
Our 6 year old grandson, Kyle, asked his mother, Stacy, if she had
ever seen Jesus’ light. She told him she wasn’t sure what he meant.
Did he mean the burning bush that Moses saw? Or was it the light
from the Star on that first Christmas morning? Had he actually seen
a lamp made to look like a Jesus figure?
Kyle answered, “No, Mom, I mean like God’s Glory light!”
Kent and I laughed at how precocious our grandchildren are (I
know yours are too, if you are our age and blessed to have them).
I, Suzanne, began to think about Kyle’s question.
No, I haven’t seen the glory of God as he showed Himself to Moses
or as He appeared to the Israelites in the desert. But Kent and I have
felt the warmth of His light emanating from God’s people. We have
been the recipients of your countless prayers, your immeasurable support,
your heartfelt love. Surely we have witnessed God’s “Glory
Light” through each of you. It is a “fore taste of heaven divine” that
keeps us encouraged as we all seek to do His will here on earth.
We are thankful for you in so many ways— God has used you to
touch our lives and the lives of so many that now have access to God’s flawless Word.
We are thankful that through you, many peoples throughout the
world are witnessing for themselves “God’s Glory Light” through His Holy Word.
Thank you so much for your prayer, partnership, and fellowship as
we celebrate this time of remembering the many things we have to be
so thankful about. May God bless you to overflowing during this
Thanksgiving holiday!
