Who We Are

First Community Church is an independent, family-oriented, fundamental Bible church committed to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world and to the building up and the equipping of believers so that they would grow into the image of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through the clear and unapologetic preaching of the Bible, God's Holy Word. Our services use a blend of the hymns of the faith as well as contemporary choruses in worship.

Welcome our New Pastor

I am Devin Miller, and this is my wife, Tish. We are a blended family with three children - Isaiah, Fletcher and Naomi. Though our early lives were marked by sin and rebellion, by the mercy of God, we encountered Jesus Christ in our early twenties and were radically transformed. From that moment, we fell in in love with the Word of God and embraced a life set apart for His Kingdom.

Our passion is to preach the Gospel, teach the Bible, and help others grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to magnify the Lord both in our private time with Him and in our interactions with others. Though we are flawed, we are joyful fools for Christ.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity with Okanagan Bible College.

We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve at FCC Matthews and look forward to what God has in store.
